The probe is connected to the display unit by a strong 1 meter lead and is waterproof. (The main display unit is not waterproof).
The unit has an inbuilt alarm function with a beeper so it can be used as a refrigeration monitor to display the temperature and alert staff to a failed refrigeration unit.
