TYPE T3 THERMOSTAT

Description:
A single pole/change over contact type thermal cut out switch available in either manual or automatic reset, totally encapsulated with an epoxy resin filler for potential free (no exposed live terminals) and moisture proof operations. The thermostat has a fixed temperature bi-metal disc actuating a switching mechanism providing for an opening and closing pf an electrical circuit. Connections are made with flexible connecting leads.

Application:
Heavy duty thermal protection (insensitive to current) particularly suitable for clamping onto suction and discharge lines on refridgeration and air conditioning compressors, heat exchange hot water systems, requiring i) weather, moisture or dust protection, ii) defrost termination iii) overheat safety control.

Operation:
Temperature sensing is achieved by a surface to surface contact, ie, attaching the front face of the protector onto a flat surface to be monitored. If it is required to sense temperature from a pipe, a range of thermostat faces with different radii are available to suit this method of fixture. (see table below).
