I am writing to communicate the situation around ongoing price volatility around refrigerant and commodity items.
Unfortunately some refrigerants are expected to see more regular price changes going forward and it is important that your business and your customers are aware of this. It is very important that alternative refrigerants to R404A/R507 are being considered for new refrigeration projects.
Our next significant review of refrigerant price changes will be made effective on the 4th of November 2024. Further to that, we expect that there will be more regular movement in refrigerant pricing particularly on R404A and R507 for the foreseeable future.
In some positive news, copper has steadied after some significant volatility through the year and we are hoping this remains consistent for the next few months.
Customers can access their updated ‘Net’ and ‘List’ pricing via Kirby smart@ccess and/or make contact with their sales representative to get the details on the changes as they are available.
Price communications will continue to be posted on our website and through the notifications section of smart@ccess when these take effect. It is very important to note that not all refrigerant or copper price changes will come with a 30 day notice period.
