Beijer Ref Academy in conjunction with Superior Training Centre has expanded its award-winning CO2 program and released 2025 course dates. The next course will be held in March 2025 at the Beijer Ref Academy, Bankstown NSW.
Beijer Ref Business Development Director APAC, Inderpal Saund says the team is committed to keeping the course technician-relevant and focused on latest technology.
The award-winning course now includes 2 days in the Beijer Ref Academy and covers refrigeration systems controls.
The controls used are those most widely used industry controls, to supplement the teaching of the equipment and refrigerant. The result is that the technicians who finalise their training can work on different types of controls and systems – not only what they experienced during training.
The units of competency, certified by Superior Training Centre (RTO ID: 41122) include;
UEERA0006 “Apply safety awareness and legal requirements for carbon dioxide refrigerant” and
UEERA0066 “Repair and service carbon dioxide refrigeration systems”.
The CO2 training course continues to be delivered in a hybrid format, with some theory completed in a self-paced mode prior to attending the Academy.
One of the strengths of the Beijer Ref Academy is that technicians learn alongside the operational SCM REF AU manufacturing facility. Attendees get the experience of being able to see commercial units at various stages of construction, which consolidates their learning in the areas of design, service and repair.
Advanced CO2 Training is now also an option for industry technicians. The Beijer Ref Academy has recently completed training on SCM Frigo Packs and Controls with City Facilities Management Australia. The day included theory, practical and a site visit to view an operational plant. The success of the program means the Beijer Ref Academy will continue to deliver the course as required throughout 2025.
